Evaluation Plan
The project, in large part, will be evaluated by how conducive it is to collaborative work within groups of 3 to 4 students. Problems will be assigned to students as homework to hone the prerequisite algebra skills and students will conduct laboratory activities to determine how absorption of light corresponds to the concentration of a particular analyte. Students will be required to assay a solution of an unknown concentration in order to assess the level of skill that they have attained during the six week semester with formative assessments in skill occurring weekly during the six week long unit and remedial action taken as indicated.
